About me

Angela Merlino is a singer-songwriter and a Music Producer based in London, UK.  

 

The Spanish artist has a Spanish mother and Italian father. When she was a child, she learned Spanish percussion and clapping by listening to her grandfather sing and play percussion using tables and doors at her house. She grew up listening to her father play guitar and sing his own songs. The singer begin to play guitar and drums at the age of 16, and sing at the age of 18.  

Her music fuses her Spanish, Italian and Indian heritage, she likes to incorporate elements of Sound Healing and  Tribal drums. She writes her songs in three languages: English, Spanish, using some words in Sanskrit language.

Angela herself is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar,  percussion and keyboard. She writes and sings the vocals to all of her music. Her second EP ‘WATER MANTRA’ in which she explores her Sacred Feminine and her journey going from trauma into liberation. 

 

Her second EP consists of 4 songs, written in India/London and recorded in London, carrying a unique blend of Spanish rhythms, mantras in Sanskrit, tribal latin/Indian percussion and instrumentation, silky vocals - creating Angela's signature sound.
